Villages
Details of the three villages of Meganisi, each has their own traditional Greek Island charm. The first village on the island was Spartochori, then Katomeri and the latest Vathy.
Katomeri
Katomeri is a characterful traditional village and is the administrative centre of Meganisi. Located on the hill less than 1 km above the village of Vathy, its hilltop position affords panoramic views of the island and across to the island of Kalamos and the mountains of mainland Greece beyond.
Spartochori
Perched on the hillside with dazzling views over Spilia Bay and the island of Skorpios beyond, the picturesque village of Spartochori has a maze of charming narrow streets with an array of shops, tavernas, cafés & bars.
Vathy
As the main fishing port on Meganisi, Vathy is a delightful harbourside village bustling with activity. The quayside is lined with a number of excellent tavernas, restaurants, cafés and bars where you can lounge in comfort whilst enjoying a refreshing drink or a meal and watch the fishing boats come & go, delivering wonderfully fresh seafood to the tavernas and restaurants.
