Spartochori Village
Perched on the hillside with dazzling views over Spilia Bay and the island of Skorpios beyond, the picturesque village of Spartochori has a maze of charming narrow streets with an array of shops, tavernas, cafés & bars.
The walk up to the village from Porto Spilia via road and/or steps can be taxing in the summer daytime heat, but you will be richly rewarded by the scent of pine as you wend your way up the conifer lined path and by the breathtaking view from the top, which is surely one of the finest in the Ionian. In Porto Spilia, a favourite destination for visiting yachts, you will discover a small fishing harbour, quay and a beautiful beach. Refreshment is available in a bar and two tavernas where you can enjoy a drink or a meal, with the water lapping gently just inches from your table.
Spilia is also a port of call for the vehicle ferry which makes the passage between Meganisi and Nidri on Lefkada, however timetables and ports of call change throughout the year, so it is advisable to check the ferry timetable.
