Stravnam Beach
Stravnam is also known by the locals as "Ammoglosa" meaning "tongue of sand". Located on the West coast of Meganisi. The spit of tiny while pebbles plays host to many visitors in the summer.
The bushes to the right of the beach provide shade during the midday heat. The best time to go to Stravnam in in the morning and late afternoon when the Sea in the Meganisi Channel is calmer. In the evening it's a lovely place to watch the sunset behind the mountains of Lefkada.
The beach shelves quite steeply in places so watch your children while they are in the water.
Stravnam has a small beach bar offering sunbeds, as well as tables where you can enjoy food and drinks. The nearest restaurant, Il Paradiso, is about a 25‑minute walk or a 5‑minute drive away.
NOTE: The road surface varies from tarmac to gravel in some sections so take extra care when driving or riding a scooter.
